Packing list

Sure I had a packing list for my previous trips. But for my first trip I had way too much luggage that I had to carry on my back. It also turned out that a lot of things were not necessary or were not very useful, like a plastic poncho. Sure you might get wet without it, especially in the rainy season, but once the sky starts to clear, you might feel like a tomato in a greenhouse. So I decided to alter my packing list. For safe-keeping reasons, I decided to post the list (not Schindler's) in here:

Obviously you need somekind of suitcase or backpack. Also make sure to secure you backpack or suitcase with a travelbag or seal it on the airport

- Camera+charger
- Phone + charger
- Pen and paper
- Flashlight
- Powerbank
- Paying cards
- World plugs (for different sockettypes)
- MP3
- Wallet (2x) + Moneybelt
- Insurance cards
- Debit- and Creditcards
- Tickets
- Passport + several copies + vaccination passport
- Book (Lonely planets, reading book)
- Chewing gum/ Smint
- Important phonenumbers and adresses

Clothing:
- Trousers/Shorts (depends on your destination)
- Swimwear
- Vest
- T-shirts
- Underwear + socks
- Flipflops
- Hiking shoes +socks
- Sneakers
- Travelsheet (I use an old sheet and pillowcase. Sometimes the sheets in hostels are dirty/there are no sheets)
- Scarf (it protects your vocal cord against the A/C)
- Sunglasses
- Hat/cap
- Rainjacket
- Umbrella/poncho

Toiletries:
- Thoothbrush/ -paste
- Deodorant
- Shavingear (if necessary)
- Earplugs (for the plane and bus)
- Sleepingmask (for the plane and bus)
- Neckpillow (again, for the plane and bus)
- Towel
- Douchegel/Shampoo
- Hairgel

First Aid:
- Tweezers/forcep
- Malaria pills (if necessary)
- Asparin/paracetamol
- Bugspray/DEET
- ORS
- Loperamide
- Bandages
- Pills for motionsickness
- Tissues/handkerchiefs
